About Athumi
Athumi is a company created and owned by the Flemish government. One of its dreams is to create a safer environment for the personal data of civilians, initially in Flanders, and in the near future all over Europe. “I am thrilled to take part in the journey of this wonderful initiative, which clearly has a substantial positive impact on our European society,” says Jan Lagast.
Athumi also wants to create a more equal playing field for businesses, so that every business whatever its size, can take part in the future digital economy. “This aligns with our purpose to introduce a new business DNA in Europe,” adds Jan. “We know that companies that motivate people to add value to their clients while creating a positive impact, witness a more natural growth. Adding value to clients, is based on respect for clients. Respect for clients, means being careful with their personal data. Which explains my choice to be part of the Athumi board.”
