From 2024 on, several forward-looking cities worldwide will host a Happiness At Work Experience, a multi-media and multi-sensory Conference for business owners, CEO’s & HR professionals, focusing on people management and corporate wellbeing. ImpactBuilders is asked to join forces and jury the start-up pre-selection.
Happiness At Work success
“Last year, 1000+ HR professionals attended our live event in Antwerp,” explains founder Jim Lippens. “And ten thousands have watched our streams during and after the event. Of course, the best experience is in-person. Part from our world class speaker line-up, we also created a multi-sensory experience, beyond the setting of a ‘classic Powerpoint slides’ conference. We added music, aromas, and visuals to create the right open minded and immersive setting for each session.”
From 2024 on, Jim and his team plan to start a global tour with this innovative concept to various forward-looking big cities. Next year, Barcelona (and probably Istanbul and London) will be the host cities. “In each city, we collaborate with regional organizations and the Chamber of Commerce,” explains Jim. “They activate their networks, and ensure the regional business and HR communities get access to this great experience. Start-ups get the opportunity to send in a pitch deck to promote/launch their HR-tech and other people-oriented applications”.
Getting start-ups and scale-ups to meet potential clients
ImpactBuilders is asked to organize the jury for the start-up and scale-up pitching. “The ImpactBuilders community has several experts who understand the Future of Work. They are also building several ventures in this field and setting up an ImpactFund on this topic,” says Jim. “That’s why we entrust them the selection of start-ups and scale-ups that can present their offering on our live stage.”
“As these are out-of-the-box events, also the start-up pitching will be fundamentally different from others,” continues Jan Lagast. “We will filter 5-7 pitches that should get the attention from the HR-audience — as potential direct clients, not as potential investors. That’s why we will not turn Jim’s start-up track into a one-startup-wins-all competition. The start-ups will not get a winner score, but a matching score. Every individual in the event will be able to indicate their personal interest in getting more information after the event. That way, there will be as much winners as participants.”
