Fabienne Verbeek, founder of Global New Automation (GNA), has joined ImpactBuilders and is taking an active role in the City Antenna Geel team. For Fabienne, connecting locally is only the starting point: the real opportunity lies in connecting people, knowledge and business opportunities across cities and European borders.
Through GNA, Fabienne works in the world of industrial automation, developing custom-made automation solutions for manufacturing companies. It is an environment in which innovation rarely happens in isolation. Finding the right expertise, exchanging knowledge and building strong relationships are an important part of moving businesses and projects forward.
That is also what Fabienne looks for beyond the day-to-day activities of her company.
“With GNA, I am continuously looking for ways to expand my network, share knowledge and contribute to impactful projects, both locally and across Europe”, she explains. “Personally and professionally, I want to connect with like-minded people. I found that connection in the City Chapters and the intercity collaboration of ImpactBuilders.”
Fabienne’s involvement in the City Antenna Geel reflects that ambition. A City Antenna connects business leaders with peers and supporting stakeholders in the wider region, while at the same time opening the door to the broader ImpactBuilders network across Europe.
For Fabienne, that combination of local roots and European connections is particularly valuable. Strong local business communities create trust and make it easier for people to meet and exchange ideas. Connecting those communities across cities allows knowledge, opportunities and relationships to travel further.
“This foundation stands for a new kind of collaboration in Europe, where direct involvement and a shared passion for creating impact are at the centre. I believe in that approach.”
By joining the City Antenna Geel team, Fabienne wants to contribute to building those connections: bringing relevant people together in and around Geel, while creating bridges to entrepreneurs, business leaders and other stakeholders in other ImpactBuilders cities.
It is exactly this combination that lies behind the ImpactBuilders City Network: strong local ecosystems that do not operate as separate islands, but become more valuable by connecting with one another across Europe.
