Last week, 30 MBA students of Taltech School of Business and Governance got inspired by Federico Pirola and Jan Lagast. Federico is the guest lecturer of the course “Business Internationalisation”. He asked Jan to join in one afternoon, and bring several stories from his more than 30 years of experience in doing business internationally.
Jan touched topics such as the cultural differences between Eastern and Western Europe, as well as between the Nordics and the Mediterranean countries. He brought first-hand stories from his personal international expedition around Europe. That expedition ended with the establishment of an important activity center in Estonia. Also, he zoomed in on how huge the differences can be in a small area such as the Benelux. And, he gave some practical examples for doing business in more exotic countries, such as Vietnam.
Stories. Laughter. Applause. Questions. Answers. More stories.
It was an inspiring afternoon, both for the students as for Federico and Jan. We are eager to inspire other business school students all over Europe, on topics of international business. And, of course, on the potential changes of the way businesses are designed and run.
Business schools who would like to invite Federico Pirola and Jan Lagast, are kindly requested to reach out for an introduction meeting.
