Investor of the year 2025 Lev Dolgatsjov will be our honorary guest on the “First Tuesday” event of April 1, 2025. We will take about what attracts investors in international companies – or companies that have an internationalisation intention. Lev will answer five intriguing questions for us.
Five questions leading to a multitude of answers
Lev promised us that he will bring the answers to the following questions
- What is your experience with investing outside the Baltics. What kind of companies do you invest outside Estonia? What stages? What kind of investment products? Loans? Equity? Publicly listed? Angel investing? Or only on the stock market?
- Would you still recommend investors to invest in a company in Estonia if that company has no intention to be international? Could small and regional be beautiful? Or is such a company not worthy of your time?
- How would you define ‘international’ ? Do you consider the Baltics and the Nordics as an international reach? Or should a business reach out globally or at least pan-European before you would consider it to be an international company?
- When investing in public markets such as Nasdaq … what are the criteria you look at to determine your interest? What positively motivates you, and what scares you off? How important is the international or global reach in your investment decision taking process.
- Recent events changed the relations between EU and US, and between EU and other continents. There is also a change in the directions of the EU’s policy makers. Did this, or will this, also change your decision criteria?
