When a leadership team designs a new business concept, the outcome often reflects internal reasoning — built around existing divisions, processes, or ambitions. What often remains unanswered, however, is the most essential question: Will it resonate with the market?
To improve the likelihood of market success, it helps to bring in an outsider — someone who thinks like your future customer. Our experts help you enhance your business concept from the outside-in, making it more aligned with real client needs and market behavior.
When to involve us
New business models often emerge in transitional moments:
- Merging an acquired company into your existing setup.
- Combining two business lines into one new value proposition.
- Launching a new division to meet future market shifts.
- Entering a new market with existing operations.
In these cases, management teams usually create a solid-looking business model and ambitious financial forecasts. And often, they’ve done excellent work. The issue? It’s based on an inside-out perspective.
Yet the success of the new concept will depend entirely on how it is experienced from the outside — by clients, partners, and other stakeholders.
That’s where we come in.
Strengthening from the outside-in
Our entrepreneurial experts bring a market-facing perspective. They look at your business concept the way a potential customer would — challenging assumptions, injecting experience from other industries, and adding fresh, external thinking to refine and strengthen the concept.
Would you benefit from a second pair of eyes that sees what your clients will see?
Our typical approach
Three main steps
- Initial intake
We start with a short introductory call, followed by a focused 2–3 hour session with one or more leaders from your team. This gives us insight into the concept, your strategy, and your recent decisions. It also highlights us certain issues and flaws with the historic decision taking. - Deep dive
We then review your concept and underlying processes. We map out the client value, identify critical points in the customer decision-taking and implementation journey, and make a list of issues, improvement suggestions, investigative challenges, … focused on the outside world. - Alignment
We facilitate a series of cross-functional meetings with your management team, in which several key departments should take place — from marketing and sales to finance and operations. In these discussions, we act as a catalyst, bringing in outside-in insights to guide decision-making and sharpen the concept for launch.
Of course, every situation is unique. Let’s have a short call to see how we can support your management team.
