Liquido VC, the Finnish venture builder known for supporting early-stage startups, has taken a strategic stake in ImpactBuilders Studio. This marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration between two organisations committed to shaping the future of European business.
The Finnish venture builder Liquido VC has now become a shareholder of the Tallinn-based venture studio ImpactBuilders Studio. More than a classic investment, this decision reflects Liquido VC’s recognition of the unique role that ImpactBuilders Studio plays in shaping Europe’s venture landscape.
Liquido VC to gain access to very early stage ventures
“We believe in building together,” says Jussi Muurikainen, founding partner at Liquido VC. “In ImpactBuilders Studio, we found a partner with the drive to ideate and build many of the new companies Europe needs for a flourishing future.”
Liquido VC typically works as a venture builder supporting entrepreneurs with promising businesses. This collaboration opens a new chapter, giving Liquido earlier access to new ventures — starting from the very first ideation stage. It allows them to be closer to the ventures they may support later on.
Jan Lagast, founder of ImpactBuilders, welcomes the partnership: We’re grateful for this signal of trust. Liquido VC brings a shared belief in the kind of business Europe deserves. They support our core values and share the dream of ImpactBuilders to ensure companies are thriving, well-connected across Europe, and a cause of joy for clients, collaborators, and everyone they impact through their activities.”
ImpactBuilders Studio to gain access to top people and even more ideas
Every venture built by ImpactBuilders Studio is validated in its earliest stage by market representatives and industry leaders. “The partnership with Liquido VC expands our reach to Europe’s SME and corporate leaders,” explains co-founder Kristel Uibo. “It will also expand our capacity for third-party venture creation assignments — for example, from universities.”
Liquido VC CEO Jonas Lundberg explains: “When we encountered an inventor with great technical IP but no clear business model, we had to turn them down. Now we can introduce them to ImpactBuilders Studio, where their idea can be shaped into a solid venture with a clear European footprint through the studio’s structured four-stage methodology.”
A great alliance for Europe
Steven Storms, co-founder of the studio, values the role of this alliance even more. He sees it as a milestone in the evolution of the venture building scene in Europe: ““We are moving from isolated venture efforts to a European coordinated network of venture creators and venture builders,” says Steven. “Together, we are shaping future businesses that strengthen Europe’s self-reliance. And, I hope this is the first step toward strengthening the European capital market — so that more businesses can stay in Europe and generate a positive impact and return for its people.”
