Let’s unite Europe through business and art

The Uku Art Festival in Tallinn brings together the wartime work of forty contemporary Ukrainian artists, exhibited simultaneously across seven museums in and around the Estonian capital. ImpactBuilders proudly supports this initiative led by the Ukrainian Ambassador, Maksym Kononenko. The festival resonates with our shared belief in uniting Europe through the powerful channels of business and art.

Preserving the Ukrainian identity

On Friday, May 9, 2025, the Ukrainian Ambassador to Estonia, Maksym Kononenko, officially opened the Uku Art Festival at Fotografiska Tallinn. The opening marked the beginning of a collaborative art initiative featuring wartime creations by forty Ukrainian artists, displayed across seven prominent Estonian museums.

The festival is the result of a significant personal effort by the ambassador and his wife. In his opening speech, Kononenko explained: “When people ask me why a diplomat should spend a substantial amount of time on such a large event, my answer is: because art represents our culture, and through art we can preserve our identity.”

Uniting Europe through business and art

This week’s art exhibition and ImpactBuilders’ First Tuesday business networking event mark the beginning of a promising collaboration with the Embassy of Ukraine. During our meeting on the diplomatic partnership, Ambassador Maksym Kononenko expressed his aspiration to unite Europe through both business and art. In the months ahead, we will build on this momentum by welcoming Ukrainian business delegations to the First Tuesday events in Tallinn.

Kateryna Levkovska of the Ukrainian Business Club, a strategic alliance partner of ImpactBuilders, is likewise advancing this mission by connecting Estonian and Ukrainian businesses. She is actively inviting Ukrainian entrepreneurs to join the First Tuesday community — opening new doors for collaboration, investment, and shared resilience.

Together, we are now reaching out to other diplomats, business clubs, and international chambers of commerce to strengthen this pan-European movement to unite business leaders across borders.
