At ImpactBuilders Studio, we continuously explore structural innovations that redefine the interaction between business, nature, and society. One of those innovations is Cubics for Urbanization — a platform that introduces a new way to quantify and financially recognise nature-positive impact.
We are currently investigating whether this concept could become a valuable complement to several of our ventures. The model shows promise, and we’ve decided to test it in one of our in-house projects to assess its practical and strategic potential.
Adding nature-positive assets to the balance sheet
At the core of this concept is the NNP Cubic — a unit that represents one cubic metre of land, water, or building space, scored according to its nature-positive value. These cubics are not symbolic or marketing-oriented. They are intended to serve as auditable, appreciating financial assets that represent real environmental improvements.
This opens up a new way for organisations to register the financial value of their nature-positive initiatives directly on their balance sheet, far beyond donation-based models or vague offsetting approaches.
Zen Campus as a first-use-case pilot
To evaluate how this system could work in practice, we’re preparing to pilot Cubics for Urbanization with Zen Campus, our nature-positive immersive longevity retreat center. Zen Campus will invest in regenerative infrastructure and operate on nature-positive principles across multiple European locations.
If the test succeeds, Zen Campus will be listed when the Cubics marketplace goes live on February 26 — enabling organisations to acquire its cubics as verifiable financial assets tied to a real-world, forward-thinking project.
Building a portfolio of shared value
If this experiment delivers what it promises — measurable, meaningful nature-positive impact with real balance sheet value — it could add a new layer of financial resilience across many of our future ventures.
